Mike has over 40 years of experience in the heat treating equipment industry, and has an extensive background in the design and manufacturing of all kinds of furnaces and equipment. He understands every facet of the industry, and has invested more than 14 years in the founding and development of Mercer Technologies and its sister company Midwest Vacuum Pumps.

Mike has worked in the heat treating industry for more than 20 years, and understands the industry from the manufacturing, design, and business standpoints. He has designed several hot zone innovations, including his patent pending element support system. He has been the Vice President of Operations for Mercer Technologies for 13 years. email

Anna Contis, Administrative and Accounting Manager
Anna has served Mercer Technologies for 6 years, and is the main contact for all administrative and money-related issues. email

Jim Cunningham, Senior Service Technician
Jim has 15 years of experience in the service and repair of all kinds of furnace equipment. His extensive knowledge and excellent service in everything from mass spectrometer leak detection to field repair and preventative maintenance give him a reputation as one of the best service technicians in the industry. email

John Laforce, Installation and Field Service Manager
John has 10 years of experience in the heat treating equipment industry, and has managed a diverse array of service projects and installations.  email

Steve Nees, Midwest Vacuum Pumps Vice President of Operations
Steve has 30 years of experience in the pump industry, and has served as a pump technician, shop manager, sales manager and is now the Vice President of Operations. He has certifications from Dresser-Roots, Stokes, Welch, Ingersol Rand and Barnes, and brings a wealth of knowledge in the pumping industry to Mercer Technologies and Midwest Vacuum Pumps.  email

Kim Bennett, Administrative Assistant and Customer Liaison
As a key liaison between customers and the company, Kim is responsible for much of the communication between company and client while also helping the parts supply chain to run smoothly.  email

Daniel Mesward, Co-op Engineering Intern
Daniel is a Mechanical Engineering major at the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. He is responsible for the company’s CAD work, marketing media, and website. email
